Yes, the female red winged black bird is brown and white - for protection so she can hide well in her environment. :)
ink, paper, painting
From my recent series of Animals/Folklore paintings, a twist on the role of animals in our daily lives!
I was inspired by animals that played a role in my childhood imagination and dreams (especially those with messages.) I thought it would be fun to have these originals available as prints in various sizes..
This borderless print measures 8"x10", and arrives ready to pop into any standard 8"x10" frame or matte.
The print is reproduced from a painting by me, Rebecca Sipper. It is printed at Creative Approach in Savannah using archival ink on lovely, smooth matte Epson paper. I experimented with many different papers before I settled on this one:
It is archival,
and has vibrant deep colors!
My prints are made using Epson Pigment Inks, which are tested and guaranteed not to fade for at least 100+ years.
All prints are signed and dated by the artist, and arrive sealed in a cello sleeve with a custom backing board. Prints are shipped inside a protective stiff envelope.
